As has been said on this forum before, good engineering is all about making the right compromises as what you want out of a product are attributes that are all working against each other - you want a fast car with lots of downforce, you want it light, but strong, powerful but economical, you want to get heat in the tyres, but for the tyres operating window to be as wide as possible. Adrian Newey clearly makes the right decisions about balancing all those opposing and competing things.
