Hi STW'rs
Looking for recommendations/sites for a holiday for next summer. The twins start school next month so I now need to go in School holidays. First two weeks in July seem to be the best time.
Cheers
Check out Landal Greenparks, mainly in Holland but also in Germany, Belgium, Austria Switzerland etc.
Been using them for years and never had a bad holiday.

Brilliant site, looks bigger than it feels, next to the sea, buy wine in the Medoc, ask for red Zone emplacement and you're closest to the sea (easier for carrying a surf board etc). Easy drive there, I stayed lots when my kids were young, they always made nice friends and everyone was very happy. Alternatively look at Hourtin, also next to the sea (a lot of sites involve a drive and parking by the sea which is a PITA at the end of the day when you're knackered, salty, hot and stuck in a traffic jam). Hourtin is smaller all round but a great place to camp and some very reasonable eateries facing the sea. The sand banks seemed to have shifted in recent times so the surf is a bit average.
La Baie at Trinite Sur Mer in southern Brittany, literally just 2 minutes walk to the beach, theres also a heated outdoor pool with a good toddler/shallow area.
A very nice site in a truly beautiful part of the world, stunning.
Best I've been to so far.

mitsumonkey this place looks awesome. Did you book direct? Do you have a rough idea on price? I only ask because booking for next year doesn't open till November.
Cheers for the other suggestions so far peeps.
We booked direct, ferries as well.
We have brought our own caravan with us, theres also 6 of us, 2 adults 4 kids. So the price we are paying will be a bit higher than a family of 4.
Anyway we've paid £525 for 12 nights which is comparable to what we'd pay in the UK for the caravan and tribe!
The static caravans look pretty new and clean although the pitches they sit on are a bit smaller than the UK.
P.s we are here right now, weathers good, nice but not too hot, swimming pool in a bit methinks!
+1 for Landal....it's like Centerparks without being rubbish
Where do you start with deciding the best Landal?...Woooofftt!
