I always find it interesting to look at the body language of a scorer. When Giroud scored he pushed past his teammates rather than celebrate with them. Tells me all is not right in the team!

Giroud famoulsy grabbed the mic at one match and lead the singing. Well, I was a bit worried that Les Cheats might actually win this thing, being the home side, but unless they sort themselves out defensively, they won't be troubling the likes of Spain or Germany.
Well, not a great game to start, but the second half picked up, and I think we can say that winning goal was worthy of declaring the tournament open! 🙂

Well, you can't write them off completely...it's their home tournament. But they'll need to sort themselves out in their own half. I look forward to seeing them exiting the tournament...hopefully in the Stade.
We're going to do our best to hold on to Payet. We made a €40m bid for Lacazette which was turned down and he hasn't even made the French squad. I know it's paper talk but we won't listen to offers less than £60m (I always find these kind of statements strange, if you don't intend selling why put a price on a player!)

Even before, wales were looking like they were settling, first minute or 2 slovakia looked like they wanted to run over the top of wales, then thought differently.
