[Closed] Encyclopaedia STW - Parking at Schiphol airport??

As part of our family holiday this year we are having a couple of days in Amsterdam. I have an idea that it would be easier to park a Schiphol airport and train into the city rather than drive/park in Amsterdam.

Has anyone ever used Long term at Schiphol? What is Dutch for long term? (I assume the signs won't be multilingual) where is it located?

Any experiences gratefully received.

Can't help on the parking, but definitely a better idea to take the train in to town. Top tip on the train to Centraal - Go first class! It's really cheap!

Also, turn left out of the front of Centraal, and go to Macbike. Rent Batavus Singles. Ride around town!

Yes the signs are multilingual ๐Ÿ™‚ The long term parking is located a shuttle-bus ride away from the terminal.

EDIT: Make a careful note of where you left the car!

Just aim for the airport, and the signs are obvious. But tbh I'd just park up near wherever your hotel is, and use a car park there (I'm sure they'll be able to advise), rather than luggag-ing across town.

Amsterdam is no harder than any other city to drive in, just remember that cyclist/pedestrians/mopeds have right of way when you turn right (and pretty much any other time ๐Ÿ™‚

See, I just KNEW that I'd get the answer I needed, and a bonus of some I didn't want, but are none-the-less appreciated.

Cheers all!

Best bet is to go and find the dorint hotel, it's at schipol oost (east) there is loads of Parking out there, then jump on the free airport express every half hour from the hotel, neither parking nor bus will cost ye a penny! Happy days.
