it's about more than having one interest in common.

Too true, except when that single common interest is me!

We are Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

What about Star Wars? I've got some Darth Vader socks.

Karin - Take yourself off on an mtb holiday. I did this many years ago and it was amazing. 2 guy's asked me out and I had a sort of fling (I know, I know) with the guide on the last day.
The confidence it gave me on my return (I'm shy too) was so great that I met my (now) husband a few months later on a skiing holiday.

Good luck.

Ianpinder - I think if you put a lot of "very importants" in, the software chucks you out. They want to be able to report that they are a success so they need applicants who are wishy-washy and have no idea of who they are or what they want.

My friend also tried it today - he didn't even get the refusal message!

rOcKeTdOg - we need pictures!

I'd actually recommend OKCupid, I met a few interesting people from there, and now I'm not on there at all, due to the first person I met being my darling now.
Warning, there are a LOT of people who have profiles there to either troll or to just do the quizzes.
