Slowcooked stew on since this morning, dumplings floating temptingly on top. Glass of claret to go with it....YUM!
oh yeah, doing an Irish Stew tomorrow. nice bit of barley, in it and washed down with Bath Ales Stout

I always make dumlpings for our stews, but on the odd occasion that we're out of/cant source suet, I find Soda bread is an excellent substitution.
CFH I hope there's at least a glass of claret in the stew too.
