Just back from a conference in Dublin, had a great time but the cheapest pint I could find was £4.50! And £9 for a chippy. Christ on a bike, anyone else taken aback by how expensive it all is?

Don't know what you mean. I was staying in a youth hostel, didn't drink at the conference in hotel, and tried 3 bars in different areas. In fact, the first one was recommended at the hostel as being "cheap", and 1 was a spit and sawdust local.

Paddy O'Heater needs to pay his own tax.

Nah, that shithole of a city has always been a joke for beer prices - even when the pound was strong against the hooro, they took the piss with prices. Just seems even worse now that the exchange rate's so crap

14 Euros for 3 pints of guiness bout an hour ago. All academic as Liverpool threw away another 2 points!
