One of the best things about being Southern is that if I really wanted to live up north, I could!

Yep and as I live up north....I have just ridden 20 miles of pure moorland singletrack, come home to my cheap house had a shower, popped out for a couple of pints of proper beer and there's a big lass giving me the eye. Might cost me a bag of chips but heh..... life's brilliant up north.

I wouldn't mind living in the North, but Northerners might.

ok, i'll try asking you lot:

i've got 4 hours to kill in London on Friday afternoon, i've got to make my way from st Pancras to Waterloo - i guess that'll take half an hour?

what's London* got to offer me?

'the 90's arcade game musuem (free)' or something would be good...?

(*which i genuinely believe to be the best city in the world**)

(**it's just not for me)

You've all got it wrong, even London's too far north, too bloody cold and too bloody wet. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'm slowly growing to appreciate living in the midlands. **** all local apart from Woburn/Chicksands, but it's a good central location with access to both northern and southern trails!

you could always feed the pigeons in trafalgar square ? do they still do that ? but dont ask me its years since i went to London... once had an aunt and went to stay with her over the summer hols when i was a wee nipper, and she used to take us on a proper tour of London...everyday we would be going out on the 'tube to some exciting historical place...
once went in st pauls cathedral and up to the 'whispering gallery'...if you stood at one end and whispered into the wall then the other person at t'other end could hear you (so they say) ๐Ÿ˜‰ we had great times in London...
i could never live there tho... too hectic and too FLAT ! no hills for cycling up...bah..... nah im happy in singletrack land...many hills many decents , much rocky terrain. fantastic ๐Ÿ˜‰

A few people I know at work moved up here cos it is so boring down South.

Where I live it is flat but I can see the Yorkshire Moors one way and the Yorkshire Dales the other. Can ride to either in under an hour.

Wot you got?
