He's an 84-year-old who has performed above and beyond in service of his country most notably during the AIDS epidemic, and then during the recent pandemic. He deserves a retirement untroubled by the threat of impending (vexatious) court action. It's utterly deranged that the kind of conspiracy nonsense that has demonised him appears to be canon among some of those who'll have control of the prosecuting authorities after today.
I've no doubt he would mount a robust defence which would make Trump seem even more ridiculous, but the fact is he shouldn't have to.

If he starts on some of these proposed policies - and it is an "if" with him - then "normal" governments, for want of a better word, are going to have to have clear lines in the sand. Quite what NATO does if it needs to withdraw support for it's biggest backer, who knows. Quite what the UN does when it's host country goes rogue, who knows.
I'd love to laugh at the damage Trump could do to the US, but he'll drag us all down with him if he can. And like Putin, he knows plenty of countries will turn a blind eye to murder and genocide if it means cheap oil for a bit longer.

I would strongly recommend people watch this - approaching the 80th anniversary of its liberation, survivors discussing their experiences. Talks about the initial removal of human rights and blaming Jews, through to the final solution and current disinformation and denial.
The people who need to see it and understand it probably won't though.

The USA is a fantastic country to visit. Nothing will get in the way of that for me. Landscape is amazing. There are plenty of people in America that don't act all Trumpion and many if they do - are victims are lack of hope, hoovered up by Trump.
You can get lost in the USA too. Not so the grey UK.
