Dog Proof Camping Mats ?

Looking for something for humans to lie onย  when family car camping.ย  Inflatable mattresses seem to get popped by the dogs claws, as do thermarests.

The dog loves camping and it is almost impossible to keep her out of the tent.

Do I have to go back to using karrimats? Buy some big foam pads? Someone must have solved this problem already!? Thanks

Yoga mats? Bit thicker than traditional camping mats. Plenty of choice on eBay.

I've had same problem with dogs trashing self inflating mats.

What's the dog? We've done 7+ years of camping with airbeds + theremarests and never had a dog claw related puncture. 2 (now 1) spaniels who usually ends up curled up on the bottom of the air bed overnight. The nails are just trimmed occasionally but nothing special. Do different dogs have sharper nails?

EDIT - forgot to add something useful. How about thermarests with a foam mat on top for protection?

That's reassuring thanks. ย Labradoodle.ย  Never noticed her claws being especially sharp. Maybe she isn't the culprit.

Might risk another thermarest -might even fashion some part of thick canvas cover for the area where she sleeps. Or train her...

Thanks all.

Just wrap the thermarests with a blanket or thick sheet ?

I'm on my 3rd Labrador, still on my 1st thermarest.

I like z folding foam Mats.

Yoga Mats are 3 or 4mm thick... so yes, thicker than a deflated Therma but thats about it

I just put my sleeping bag on the mat. And find somewhere else to curl up.

We have a self inflatable from decathlon and not had any issue with our 2 labradors, who like to do a digging dance everytine they get back in the tent when wet.
