All the gps in my surgery are young whippersnappers now bar one, my favourite slightly overweight late miiddleaged male doctor but he’s leaving soon too.

Me too. But i think that's actually a positive for a MTBer! I mean, i could have a massive OTB, go face first into a mountain and chances are, after the surgery to re-attach my nose, i'd be BETTER looking.... 😉

Yup, I have a face like a bulldog licking piss off a stinging nettle.

Thing is, a single photo just about tells you nothing how someone actually looks! In fact, as any fashion / style pic-snapper will tell you, the difference between "ooh, wow" and "urgh, god" can be just 100ms difference in pressing the shutter button!

This is especially true of capturing dynamic action, like riding a bike:
