I used to, I suspect that the additional 20lb's and what feels like total exhaustion most of the time is somewhat detracting!

I don't know whether I am attractive, but I know I've been a lot happier since I took a conscious decision in my late 20s to [s]believe that I am.[/s]
stop caring.

FFS, used to be a typical cyclist build. Emaciated from the waist up. Funny (odd) tan. More scar tissue than actual skin on all the extremities. Badly dressed.

Least i'm not skinny any more, inflated is the current look. And a nice uniform shade of pasty.

And i still have all my own hair, no grey. My younger brother is balding and going grey.

As a laugh my wife and a couple of mates on a drunken night at ours added a picture of me to the dating website "beautiful people dot com" you have to be accepted by over 50 percent during a live vote of current users. I made it by about 5 percent if i recall, make of that what you will, I was dissapoint when the offers started coming in and the Mrs deleted the account 😆

Based on the news this week, ginger, bearded balding men of reasonable physique seem to be very attractive. A surname Wales might help, but hey, mine's a city in Texas, so a 10. Lose a point for more wrinkles, gain one for lower BMI 😉

Laughs at man in 30s (DrP) wondering if he's attractive!

Easy there Dezzy baby... I made it quite clear there's no wondering.... 😉

My point, if this trajectory continues, I'll be more George Clooney than George, bungle, and zippy....

A solid 10.0 and great full of my fathers genes. Damn fine fit and healthy and ageing beautifully, yes I’ve got greying hair but I still have it and plenty of it, lean and fit and a few face wrinkles add to the character.. slightly wonky teeth due to an accident, but that’s a conversation piece. A winner with the opposing sex and my sex too not so long ago, now I’m going through that middle age transition period whereby glances are fewer but the quality of them is greater..
Talking about character... that’s my downfall, I’m an arrogant bastard.

Has your Mrs been enhancing those youthful good looks? Can't be naturally that magnificent, it's just not possible!

What most people forget is that unless you have a perfectly symmetrical face, then what you see and what others see is very different 🙄

I've still got a full head of hair, most of it is not grey. And most of my own teeth. In low light, with 4 drinks on board the opposite sex might just, just call me a 4. That would make my day TBH.

EDIT: VERY NOT SAFE FOR WORK!!!!!!!!

I don’t compare myself to your average male model but Compared to the average Jeremy Kyle participant I’m a solid 10.

Nope.

You know that syndrome where people think they have some hideous affliction and are gopping despite being perfectly normal? Body dysmorphia or somesuch.

I have the opposite - I think I'm perfectly normal but then have that illusion shattered every time I look in a mirror.

God no. On a good day, when dressed up nicely and having done some grooming, I reckon I could scrape a 7 but a solid 5 is much more likely. I do reckon I look better now than I did 5 years ago though, losing 3 stone and growing a beard have helped that.

Must be a few BOBFOCs here assuming people do ride as much as they talk about it...?!

I put my pic up on hot or not many years ago out of interest as to how things worked on there and averaged around 7. Interesting thing was seeing how individials voted and getting the odd 10; all you need to do is meet a few of those.

Just had a quick peak and it seems to work as a way to meet people now which I didn't notice at the time I played with it.

Anyone fancy giving it a go then posting results here?!

I'd say I'm below average. Do I care, sometimes if I'm honest. But overall not really. In my lifetime I've been told I look like Micheal Barrymore, Dev from Corrie and Minty from Eastenders.

I'm short, according to %90 of the female population, apparently that makes me a no

The 2 most attractive men I have seen were both shorter than me, I am 5'4". Both of the were with blonde women who towered over me. Both couples looked very happy. Unfortunately for me, most short men seem to want tall women.

I am not pretty and in addition have an illness which causes skin problems, so I get very few dates anyway, whatever the height.

Men teach you very young that you have little to interest them unless you are good looking, a really pretty woman walks in the room and everything changes in a guys behavior even though they think its not noticeable, it is. I recently worked with some models and it was fascinating as they took their looks and attractiveness utterly for granted in a very casual non egotistical way, they were really nice friendly women. Chatting with them was amazing as their experience of daily life and interaction with both men and women was so alien from mine that it was like looking into a different universe.

Although harassment can't be fun, it must be wonderful to have so many extra choices in life, even in things like being more likely to get jobs when you have been for interviews. I know senior managers who have appointed both men and women just because of how they look and because they fancied them.

On the up side, being an ugly woman does mean I have always been able to enter traditionally male environments (IT depts, animal markets, farm sales etc)without any harassment at all, just as one of the lads, as no one cares I am there. When I have gone to some familiar places but with another woman, we have often had to leave because we then get the wrong sort of attention because she has been cat called or could not cope with the comments from men which I never suffer from.

Being an ugly woman has a lot of plus points, but it makes finding a partner or changing jobs tougher than it might otherwise be. It can get very lonely.

I realize from reading back this may look man hating, but its not, I have had great friendships with guys, wanting attractive women is just biology and not the mens fault.

No.

Just asked a few ladies in the office I'm in and they settled on a 2, which is nice.

Don't care really either!

Does the 1-10 scale go into negative? I might break a record then.

Honestly, at my age who cares

I would say I'm grizzled

but I have a Ph.D and a very well paying job so does that help?

thing is, there is a difference between being "conventionally good looking" and "attractive"

I look like a french bulldog in a wind tunnel, so definitely not good looking, yet have always had women/men come and chat me up, so there must be something "attractive" about me *

Interesting....I remember a female columnist laughing at another woman's view that she'd rather be clever than beautiful. Not that the columnist thought she was beautiful, she had just seen first hand, the effect a beautiful woman had on a room full of men. I've seen it myself where blokes just go weak at the knees and can't talk without stuttering.

As for me, I stopped getting 'looks' a few years ago which was quite disappointing, but I try and live with it now! 🙁

At 43 and with a beard that makes me look like a tramp that's been carelessly drinking TippEx to keep warm, I don't think that I can ever call myself anything other than tall.

For some reason though, my girlfriend seems to think I'm worth spending time with, so I can live with it.

Depends how you define attractive ..
Good looking? ..at 60 Ive seen better days but still have my own hair no longer jet black now (silver) & teeth not as dazzling as they used to be I'm 6'0" & 14.5 st ..but have had 3 long term relationships with women that were 'lookers' so must have been ok for a while ..my current partner is 16 years my junior who I met when she was 25 we have a 14 year old boy 6'1"..who is a bit of hit with the girlies and I have a daughter (from my previous) aged 26 who came 2nd in the Miss Sunderland contest a year or so back ..I like to think I passed on some of my genes but I'm probably deluding myself ..!
I'm very confident and straight talking which doesn't always go down too well ..but at my age I don't really care ..I guess on forums like this things can easily be taken the wrong way ..but I get on really well with most folks in person and like a laugh ..
Once I know you as a friend ..I would go out of my way to help in any way ..but equally drop you like a stone if you did me wrong.
Don't know how attractive any of that is ..but there you go .
My ugly mug shot is in my profile ..taken this year ..have a look if you want a laugh ..

Nope, for some reason i was a lot more attractive to the ladies as a 21 year old army officer with a 30" waist than i am now as a battered, metal pinned scarred tubby middle age man!

I always had that look that girls mothers would like me, not the girls, now it is the same as a middle aged man the only compliments i get are from the over 60's and that seems based on the size of my rugby lad thighs!
