Delta Search, a virus?

Appeared today when lauching chrome and seems to have taken over. Uninstalled and removed from the home page url, etc, AVG free scanned but it's still there. Googling suggests it's a virus of some sort or at least not a proper search engine. Running Chrome on Windows 8.

Any advice from the experts on here?

Download and run Malwarebytes.

What have you downloaded recently? No need to mention all of it...

Download and install malware bytes.

That removed it for me. You might have to manually remove it from chrome options as a search provider.

The most recent thing was a coupon printer from Waitrose that my wife put on. The Delta in the programmes was from June apparently but it's only appeared today.

It's pretty benign and easily removed. Malwarebytes scan a good call.
