Anyone tried the Crono CX1 spd shoes from Merlin. Can't really find any reviews online but so look great value.

I'm looking for a carbon soled xc/cx shoe with dual boa type closures that dont break the bank.

Don't know anything about those, and slim fitting would certainly be enough to put me off but can definitely recommend Shimano XC7

Just be careful with the xc7 sizing. Shimano have eu45 listed as 9.5uk. 45eu is normally UK 10.5, I went with the EU size and the toe box is too small. The rest of the shoe felt great so hoping the 46 has more room up front.
