Thegreatape - those got my interest, but apart from being silly expensive and only available online - what are they like?! 4mm thick crisps?!Genuinely thinking about having a punt, but do they actually crunch or just break into shards and lacerate your mouth?
I found them at Tebay services on the M6 so everything was expensive, but they were the perfect accompaniment to a spicy pork pie with onion chutney. They're huge, and they do crunch as described. Certainly there was no discomfort from eating them, just pleasure. They reminded me of Mackays crisps if you've ever had those (possibly only found in Scotland) but a bit less salty and three times the size and thickness.
Kettle chips sea salt with black peppercorns.
That is all.
Thanks TGA. Just got off the phone to them, and an order being sorted 🙂
those Co-op, sea-salt and chardonnay vinegar crisps represent the pinnacle of the artform.

Nice one, enjoy!
Unlike Singletrackmind, I love French crisps. I'd happily just eat the basic ready salted ones forever; however, they need to be enjoyed post-surf and accompanied by several stubbies of continental lager whilst sat in the dappled shade of a pine forest in Les Landes. So I'll have to become a beach bum - quel dommage!
edit. I'm now off to testcos to find crisps you fvcK£R5!

this is correct
Co-op ready salted is correct. Salt & vinegar is a vulgar flavouring; originally intended to disguise cheap oils used for feral crisps made from potatoes that were rejected even by their mother.

It won't do you any good...we can smell the lack of vinegar a mile away!

You'll struggle to hide whilst eating crisps
Ate 2 tubes of salt n vinegar pringles once, felt like I was gonna die of salt overdose or something, was worth it.
Cha****ng has hit the nail on the head.
Just ate a "share" bad of Kettle Chips Balsmic Vinegar flavour. 100% my favourite. Unless, unless I have a beer in hand, in which case their cheese and red onion.
Walkers Worcestershire sauce flavour in a cheddar cheese sandwich. BTW - did anyone see that programme on how crisps are made and packaged recently? Brilliant.
Important question: Do Pringles count as crisps?
No, I believe that for tax reasons they are actually a cake.
Another vote for Seabrooks here - the Prawn Cocktail are delicious.
Walkers ready salted
Scampi Fries?
You're going on the list.

Christmas?
I love crisps and like to eat most flavours, however, for some reason any flavour that isn't ready salted repeats in me for the rest of the day. This is most disappointing.
So for me it's any salted crisp with a good crunch. Usually kettle chips.
Whilst technically a corn snack and not a crisp these were the most popular when I was at school, probably partly down to only being 10p a bag.
I'm not aware of these Cougar, were they an 80s phenomena like Quarterbacks?

Scampi Fries?
Come the revolution, he'll be the first against the wall!
Mini Cheddars are irresistible, they're a bit like proper Digestive biscuits, once I get started on a packet, there's really no stopping!
Good thing they're little packets.
Otherwise any sweet chilli crisps, chorizo, proper mature cheddar and onion will do, depending on whatever the pub happens to have behind the bar...
Beef Space Raiders aren't crisps either but they can pull 20p from my pocket.

Yeah. You can still get them, but they're a shadow of their former self. They used to be absolutely loaded with flavour, E-numbers and marrowbone jelly for a healthy coat, or something.
Speaking of hot crisps ^^ , anyone remember Really Ruthless Crisps?
Whatever Happened to....
Claymore The crisp of the clans. Think it was an 80's brand.
Also a Spanish brand, Lolita Crisps. Remember the packets had a picture of a little girl on, not sure that marketing would work now.
No, I believe that for tax reasons they are actually a cake.
😆
I think I might become a cake for tax reasons.
Or maybe a breakfast food.
Heavily flavoured crisps get annoying and start to irratate my mouth after 1 bag, so for an ever lasting crisp I'd have to pick a boring ish one
Salt n vinegar Frisps
or
Ready salted french fries
and my all time fave, seabrook salt n vinegar crinkle cut crisps.
Real Handcooked Roast Ox, best I've ever had. Used to be able to get them in supermarkets but not seen them for aaaaaaaaaaaaages, but thanks for the timely reminder I'll dream of them tonight...............
Also just found available on Amazon.......oh dear
Oh my word - just remembered theseWheelz
Nibbit's Wheelz at that. Onion and vinegar flavour, oh my poor cheeks.
