I haven't bought Cadbury stuff since Kraft bought them. I used to love Twirls too 🙁 Damn Americans, ruining everything...

This.

I am 100% a creme egghead, but recently they've mistaken my kindness for weakness, and are just taking the piss now.

I find that in the two bites it takes to eat one, I can't even notice the change in chocolate.
See how many of those you can eat in one sitting and post the results!

I work my way through many Creme Eggs each year, and couldnt tell the difference when they changed the chocolate.

I'll try a couple more this evening just to check though.

I eggspected Kraft / Cadbury to reintroduce the original Creme Egg this year, if anything they're worse than last year.

It's the worst kind of corporate bullshit, put the price up 5p? Nah we'll just make them shit to increase our margin. Oh sales are down? Make 'em cheaper to make again.

Its around this time of year I dream of a Cream Egg Easter Egg, where the egg is an actual scaled up cream egg. Oh, the joy.

Apparently it's due to consumers - research says we'd rather pay the same and get less/worse product than pay the extra for the same thing.

Personally that research is not representative of my view, I've not had a Creme Egg since they changed the chocolate 👿

A sugar fondant which is possibly the most calorific dense substance known to man, and is nutritionally bereft of any use whatsoever apart from rescussitation of someone in a diabetic coma, and the chocolate used is utter vile to taste. (I use the term chocolate ironically, it isn't chocolate, more a collection of flavoured fats)

I loved the 'fresh minty eggs' Rowntrees made them I think. Haven't seen them for years though.

I had a scaled up one about 30 years ago, not official Cadbury, but someone else. You definitely can have too much of a good thing.

What have they actually done to them? Made them smaller. Have they actually changed the chocolate, as I thought Cadbury uk had a different recipe to Cadbury USA anyway. Sad what money makes people do.

What has a chocolate egg got to do with Jesus?

They've clearly missed a trick - they should make Creme eggs and Dairy Milk Creme eggs for 10p more. When you make a budget product you need to also bring in a premium one to capture a wider market share.

Also to add to that they've not removed Easter at all but you don't want to hear that.

I remember the smell and texture and taste of a real Creme Egg. Was great.

Cadburys went soft on us. National disaster. Won't be fixed by Brexit. Sad.

Also - it's not Terry's, it's fake. Tiny, concave, soft, sugary choco-like segments for tiny soft hands and teeth. Very bad.

Remember chocolate oranges? They used to be like a segmented cricket ball. Choc hard. You could cause some damage with one. Now more like a chocolate-flavoured candy tangerine. We're all Americans now.
