Mountain goats do that!

I watched them hoping about precariously when in Austria. They look like they are going to fall but never do.

Lol mental - why though? There can't be any food on a dam wall that they can't get on the nearby slopes (they look green enough to me). Doesn't seem like a long-term option for avoiding predators either.

why though?

They're sight seeing, they arrive by coach, get their photo taken, buy a few crappy souveniers and they're off to the next tourist trap, usually the leaning tower of Piza.

Goats rock.

Sheep are pretty cool too, saw a load scrabbling about on some very steep and loose sides of ventoux.

I've seen sheep get it wrong too, and tumble down mountains. But in general yes - although we do take the piss, they are pretty capable in their home environment.

RealMan - and there's the cause of most of the problems faced by the Sahel region in a nutshell - goats eat all the plants and the desert takes over.

A friend volunteers for RNLI and has rescued sheep that have fallen down cliffs.

Why Though

Don't see any of their predators able to climb like that! (unless its of the flying verity obviously)
