The heavily textured Millboard that TiRed has is by far the best looking composite imo. Good to hear it holds up well as its pricey.
I baulked at the original price. But buy cheap, buy twice. The cheap was the previous owners shonky attempt. Would definitely recommend. We ummed and ah’d about colour and Mrs TiRed was right to go darker. It’s meant to simulate sleepers and can be painted. And as i said, it has been relayed onto a much more rigid substructure after five years. So you can reuse it if you change design. If you are down in the Windsor area, you are free to take a look.
I can second the Millboard suggestion.
I got a large amount for free from Facebook Marketplace. Someone had used it for surface on some decking and it had been in place for about 15 years, but used standard timber posts, which had inevitably rotted and caused the decking to collapse.
They were replacing it with paving, so I took the Millboard, gave it a quick scrub and have used it as a new decked area in my garden to cover a manky old summerhouse base that will be too much work to remove.
We needed to buy one new plank of Millboard as we were a little short, and it is almost indistinguishable from the 15 year old bits I got for free.
