Earwarmer headband thing - best 8 quid I ever spent & waterproof/thermal overshoes. I may be alone but I don't ever want to have to say to my other half, "Why thank you, darling, for these beautiful anatomically moulded padded shorts". Bike underwear is functional but not fun. Or sexy.
If all else fails, diamonds are an excellent fallback.
