Just received a Christmas card from my aunt and uncle. "To Craig, Wendy & Family". Can you not remember my kids' names or are you that lazy that you cant be arsed writing it out?

Also, why do people slip the card through our letter box hoping not to be heard and then scurry away avoiding any conversation?

Have I just asked 2 questions that say more about me than them???!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Generally, no. I can't remember your kids names and to be honest, I have too many other false sentiments of goodwill in cardboard format to deliver to be stopping for a chat.

Edit, just kidding, I don't do cards ๐Ÿ™‚

Xmas cards seem far more popular with the older generation - some folk will write hundreds of them as a way of reminding you that they still exist and that they consider you a part (however peripheral) of their social sphere. They were probably on card number 75 and just wanted to get it finished.

I think it's nice that family members and neighbours make the tiny effort each year, even if it's a bit cursory.

"To everyone at number 52". Well, we've lived beside you for a few years now, I fixed your car a couple of times and we've babysat your bloomin kids, you ought to know our names... But OK, address the card like you think we might be a crackhouse.

I'm a bigger **** though tbh, just cannot be bothered with cards, something something environmentally something. SO I shouldn't really complain.

You can almost hear the "I don't send cards, I make a donation to charity instead" crowd galloping in this direction!

Close, but you only get full STW points if you don't give presents either

We've also had quite a number (at least 4) missing off my youngest daughter who was born in May. Ahh so you wish myself, my wife and my eldest daughter a merry christmas but you hate my baby? you bamstead! These are people who are on my facebook and commented at the time with 'congratulations' or the occasional 'like' - what to do with these people?

I would prefer to jack in the whole enterprise. We're celebrating the nights drawing out.

I hate the ones that say nothing whatsoever inside except the names of the senders. If you can't be bothered to write who it's for or a small message, why bother?

I only send a few these days, just for close friends.

My evil cow of a mother sent a Christmas card a few years ago just to me with no mention of my wife. Haven't spoken to her since...

That's a bit rough on your wife after that card.
