I'll have a guess before watching it that it's the big red one/twangers/plucking one?

If so, it was a genuine recording, but made for the BBC internal Christmas skit show or something like that, not for broadcast.

It was recorded one Christmas for the shows Christmas bash, not for broadcast, According to my dad who worked on the show at the time.

I had the honour of meeting Roy Skelton once(the voice of Zippy and George, as well as the Daleks)
They did it for a laugh for a christmas party as Sonor said.
Apparently Bungle used to put the animals on the shelves in all sorts of compromising positions when the crew werent looking aaaaand Rod, Jane and Freddy were very much Rod, Jane and Freddy too if you get my drift 😉
