Need to borrow £3k for a car for mrsj and bambino. Where would be cheapest - HSBC is 18.9%!!

I agree HSBC are a bit high but a good bank all in all, have you spoken to the car company, sometimes they maybe able to offer a good deal if you ask.

Depends how long for. Interest free credit card transfers will be cheapest even with the transfer fees assuming you're organised enough to sort it all out.

You might find that if you borrow more you'll get a much better rate. I know for me the total interest on 5k ended up being less than if I'd borrowed 3k because of the different rates. I just stuck what I didn't need in my savings account.
