Due to current circumstances, cannot afford anything decent, and not wanting to put too much thought into it as plenty of things on my mind.

My salomon gtx trainers have given up after 18 months use, large splits on each trainer upper and soles are very worn. I also have some other trainers that are split on the uppers which I am currently wearing that have lasted 4 months. Can anyone recommend anything or has anyone seen anything in a size 10 that is half decent and not overly expensive that will do for a few months.

Thanks

I got a pair of own brand light, waterproof walking boots from Decathalon. Used them for hiking, mountain biking and wearing when doing brewery work...

They are very comfortable - a world away from the old, stiff leather ones I had on DoE in the 90s!

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Mine are the NH300 ones at £28. The trainer versions are £20

I normally end up with karrimor hiking shoes from sports direct for everyday wear.

If you know the make, model, size that fits then I'd buy slight 2nd off ebay. Loads of people buy new online, wear them a couple of walks, realise they don't fit, can't return them because they're used, sell on ebay virtually new. You obviously have to be a bit savvy, but some great bargains to be had.
