We're having a familiy outing to Scarborough Sea Life Centre on Sunday, fancy some fish and chips whenever I'm by the sea, what are my chances of finding a chippy open on new years day?

High
South bay will be rocking, I think there must be four chippies there. Pretty sure one will be open, there is also a harry Ramsdens which should be open if you don't want to shop local. Car parking on marine drive is free in winter so that makes life easy.
A BLT in the harbour bar is on my doing agenda ๐Ÿ™‚

Should not think you'll have much trouble. While since I have been but the one behind the harbour bar was always decent. One opposite the fire station seemed to always be open too.

Long walk from North to South side. Southside will be busy but I would imagine everywhere been open. I think there is a chippy Northside, by the "corner" where the new flats are. Only around a 20 minute walk from Sea Life. But best chippies are South side ๐Ÿ™‚

Scarborough - surely it's all about the doughnuts on the seafront?

(in 1976 it was, anyway)

Surely the Sealife Centre is missing a trick if fish isn't on the menu. Sushi even.
