Trending on Twitter, apparently she has suffered a heart attack ๐
Given her lifestyle that is not a total surprise. Healing vibes to her
Hope she pulls through. 2016 can't finish like this!
Ive been in love with her since i can remember
really hope shes ok
Don't you ****ing dare 2016.
On a flight? ๐
Hope she pulls through. Reading between the lines doesn't sound good though.
No, doesn't sound good at all.
Shit noooooooooo!!!!!!!
received CPR on a flight to LA from London; doesn't say how long for. But agree, doesn't sound good.
As Adam Hills on the Last Leg just said '2016 - just don't ****ing dare'
Oh FFS... 2016 you utter **** you.
I hope she's okay, but it doesn't sound good.
There was a doctor and nurse on board, but she went into full cardiac arrest, the chances of surviving that is slim even without being on a plane at the time.
Apparently not breathing for 10 minutes. Doesn't sound good at all.
She is a tourtured sole.
As Adam Hills on the Last Leg just said '2016 - just don't **** dare'
Bastard stole my line.
Fingers crossed...
Hope she makes a full recovery.
Seams like she got looked after, but serious situ for her, Hope she pulls thru.
A long cardiac arrest isn't good. Oxygen starvation to the brain being an issue. If her heart was restarted after so long it'll take a while to work out the ramifications.
FFS. 2016 has been a 5 star fur lined ocean going nuclear powered 4 funnelled gold plated glow in the dark bag of shit. We don't need this to cap it off.
Finger crossed.

Not a bad place to have a heart attack. Personnel trained in first aid and they probably have a defibrillator on board. Better than dropping down in the street or in bed.
Articles seem to keep using heart attack and cardiac arrest interchangeably?

They do, but they mean different things. She's had a cardiac arrest; if memory serves the commonest cause of these out of hospital is indeed a heart attack (though there are other potential causes especially in the context of long-haul flight e.g. PE) but the overwhelming majority of people who have heart attacks don't arrest.
(GMC no available on request)
she's gone.

Have you got a link?
As of 2hrs ago she was in a stable condition according to the News agencies - not a single thing saying otherwise.

Seems to be confirmed now by a few bigger entertainment sites...
Oh, well that's really sad.
๐
****'s sake, 2016. Haway man.
very very sad
Just confirmed by the Beeb. ๐ฅ
It's just all too much.

Stable in the context of critical care doesn't mean much except they're not getting worse though. After 30 min down could well mean not on any inotropes/vasopressor and not waking with the sedation off.

I'm aware of that - my comment was the fact that the latest update as I typed was 2hrs old at that point.
There was nothing from any other site showing any different.
Blimey, another one.
So sad! I am a total SW nerd and a little part of my childhood has just passed on
RIP Carrie
