Hi all

Apologies a bit of a beg this one

I have been slowly getting in to the Japanese art of writing Haiku and as some of you may have gathered from some of my posts as a cyclist I have a fondness for the traditional Brooks leather saddle.

This year I have entered the Brooks Haiku competition have somehow been selected as a finalist and it is now down to who gets the most Likes for their Haiku on the Brooks England page

I am in a healthy second place and within reach of first so I would be grateful you have time to click on the link below and Like the poem if you like it.

Thanks all

If I click "Likes" will it show on my Facebook that I "liked" a poem about a saddle?

@DezB - you are not 'Liking' a poem about a saddle but a carefully crafted set of 17 syllables so I can win something for once!!

Hope arriving too late
Hangs shamed at the threshold
The crown moves onwards

Hope you're feeling better, BTW!

Looking forward to more of your work:

Blistered and broken
My Brooks prize lies in the bin
Should have gone Bel-air

@martin - I was in Paris for my dad's funeral when the finalists were announced hence my late arrival to the vote drumming up party!

@jamie - getting there. Get very tired quickly and sporadic headaches but am signed off work currently and now the funeral is out of the way can rest for a few days.

Just read your meningitis thread Danny; sorry to hear about your dad and I hope you're feeling well soon

My wife had viral meningitis years ago and spent 6 weeks getting headaches, mostly on standing up (so she laid on a sofa & watched Wimbledon then Olympics IIRR ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) and then full recovery
