I've an evening in Bristol, starting from Clifton somewhere. Anything I should do while I'm here and any places to eat that are highly recommended?

As it's a Friday night I'd avoid town and stay in Clifton. Plenty of good places to eat and drink there.

I'd grab some pub grub at The Clifton (next to the Pizza Express in the village) then head down to Southville for this:

But depending on where you are better food options will be available.

If you haven't eaten and fancy a curry, Krishna's Inn on the triangle is a bit of a "different" curry.

never been to that place, lots of new places round that side of the triangle.

The little place next to the victoria rooms on queens road is very good, as is the Brunel Raj.

Sands further along Queens road into Clifton is good and The Clifton mentioned earlier.

I would also really recommend The Cow Shed on Whiteladies road. If you can get in.

Clifton sausage and coronation tap could be on the list.

Some nice looking places recommended but I couldn't get into any of them. Had a good mooch about though on a dank and drizzly night. Thanks to all for the suggestions!

How little you know. Turns women to putty. Men just want another go.

I am still talking about The Slidey Rock.

I should have sent the OP directions. It would have kept him entertained.
