Can't give a fruitcake tip but my best bread maker discovery: beremeal. You usually have to buy it online - it's only grown and milled on Orkney. But a little goes a long way so it's worth the bother. Swap about 10 - 20% of the flour for beremeal in any bread recipe and add a tiny splash more water than normal. It gives lovely tastes, slightly nutty tasteing moist loaves.
