This Bose was a favourite here a few years back, and mine has finally died after daily use. It’s only the battery that needs replacing and it looks pretty simple. I can’t find a genuine one so it might have to be aftermarket. Are these things generally okay or a bit explodey? Is there a good manufacturer of copy batteries to look for?

hi jkomo. How do you know its the battery? We have 2 in the house and one has stopped working. Doesnt turn on. And nothing happens when plugged in (no lights).

Reckon changing the battery is worth a punt?

Had similar. Contacted Bose customer service. Out of warranty but offered a very good deal on a replacement. Worth a call?

I had the same, but after shelling out for a battery, realised there's two version- one of which has the battery soldered in directly and can't be replaced..

Guess which one I had?

Replaced it with a Marshall Emberton which is not as good sound wise, but feels more sturdy and has much better battery life

Mtnb I don’t mind a bit of soldering.
When I plug in the charge light flashes red, so I’m Pretty sure it’s battery. Might give a ring though.
