From a thread a while ago about Vans or something, I seem to remember a couple or three operators of MTB businesses in Spain posting up.
If you're reading now I have a quick question for you.....
Do you get any grief from the local authorities about your transport arrangements? Specifically, I'm being asked to apply for SP (Servicio Publico) status even though my transport is not public and is free to customers.
OK, one benefit is that I could charge for airport runs and the likes, and the Taxi mafia couldn't say a thing. But that isn't what I want to do.
So have you had the same problems in the mainland?
Cheers.
ask ian at torolocospan
is that torolocospan or torolocospain ๐
Looking at the photos linked to Ian's website, it looks like he's using a UK registered 4x4 so probably not having the same "issues" as I am.
Bumpety bump...
You lot must be all out riding. Wish I was ๐ฅ
Still, got clients tomorrow so not a completely crap week.
Idont know if spain is the same as Italy (beuracracy mad) but I use a UK registered 4*4 and an Italian registered bus.
I get no problems!!!
Any foreign plated (say UK) car in Spain for more than 6 months should be formaly imported, hence anyone using a UK registered vehicle for more than 6 months will not be insured and illegal, hence
www.torolocospain.com
until recently have used an uninsured, unregistered untaxed 4x4 for several years, which also has no legal MOT (and the driver is aware of this but still continues to jeopardize the safety and wellbeing of his guests). Also www.torolocospain.com is not registered, hence presumuably not paying tax, social security etc, hence not paying anything back into the system from which toroloco on is keen to project on www.bikemagic.com he is making a good business from, I think the statement on their previous website says it all "cash is king", say no more!!
