Looking for a cheap bike bag to put a dirty bike in while in a hotel. Ive seen those bike sock things which range from £6 to £70. Do the cheap ones fit 29ers? Most images have old 26ers.

Easiest option is just to buy a mattress bag. Super cheap on Amazon, plenty big enough for a bike, fold down very small, covers and protects the whole bike.

IKEA bags work well too, one for each wheel to stand in

Or just put the bike in the bath... 😉

I've got a couple of Aldi ones, that are probably the same as some.other cheap ones. My medium 29er FS (NP reactor) doesn't really fit but you just have the bars sticking out, so should be fine for taking into a hotel room.

an old quilt cover may work. or a not old one if you’re not too fussy

Primark/Supermarket double duvet cover - £10-£15.

Washable and will last forever.

I've got a ctc one, one of these https://www.getmefixed.co.uk/shop/accessories/bike-covers/getmefixed-protective-plastic-bike-bag/ which is perfect.

Except its out of stock.

Everywhere.

Quilt cover is good, but not in anyway waterproof so leaves muddy puddles.
