In a fit of mid-life re-living my youthness I bought a turntable of eBay last night! (not told the wife yet!).

I still have a small amount of my old vinyl from my teens but this will need adding to if I'm to make the best of my new purchase. So can anyone recommend any online vinyl retailers or record shops in the Derbyshire area.

Cheers

what sort of music?

i've used rough trade, phonica, juno, ukdancerecords, occasionally htfr.

All online.

Diverse Vinyl is good online but can be pricey as they specialise in vinyl. Also Piccadily (Manchester) records and Rough trade are worth a look online and do mail order.

Does depend on what you are after but Selectadisc in Nottingham used to be excellent (think its still going) and also Jumbo in Leeds has a good selection.

Yep, Selectadisc and Jumbo IRL. eBay or GEMM online - but I guess it depends what you're after. I've only ever used Gemm for super hard to find stuff - eBay is usually fine for more regular stuff.

Thanks for the suggestions - it will be mainly rock stuff I'll be buying.
