Thanks. Thoroughly enjoyable slow TV.
They had a short series called Hand made on recently, similar stuff, proper craft being kept alive. Wonderful stuff.

A lot of watching and not a lot of explaining. Relaxing and fascinating, but not as informative as I'd hoped.

I've seen better documentaries on traditional Japanese sword making. Was to short and lacking.
IIRC this is the one I watched years ago though unfortunately poor quality on youtube.
