Are they any good? Anyone recommend one?

I currently have 1 security light on the back of my house which covers most of the garden except for the very bottom where my shed is (15-20) meters. The sensor just won't pick it up.

I'm thinking of putting a battery / solar powered on a facing the shed, hoping that it may also set the other one off?

Cheaper ones won't have a charge regulator, so it'll be trying to charge the battery whenever there's enough sunlight. I seem to recall that this is not good for lead-acid batteries, which is what they typically have. Kills the battery after a bit. You may have to spend more to get something with more brains and/or a battery better able to cope.
