Hi all
Am after a backpack for general family duties but also to use as hand luggage when going away. Have some Dakine luggage which has lasted well but is there any other brands to look at?
Laptop sleeve would be nice but far from crucial, but features like water bottle holder etc would be good.
Wont get used when cycling or boarding so doesn't need to be overly agile!

loads of brands! what size are you after?
I guess something big enough to carry a picnic for the wife and 2 kids but also not be too big for hand luggage.

Crumplers are pricey but very well made.
I am a big fan of Macpac, totally bomb proof
Ortlieb. Rolltop backpack. Doesnt have loads of pockets. Is waterproof, light and flexible. Itll last forever too.

tiso own brand stuff. mostly used for hillwalking, but seems well made and has lasted well
Drove past Sports Direct and picked up a 70% off Karrimor which fits the bill perfectly! Christ I didn't realise how cheap that place was - got some Airwalks for me, Airwalks for my daughter, the Karrmimor bag, a Nike compression top and a Camelback cleaning kit (Karrimor branded but looks identical) and had change from £60!
