[Closed] "Back" button ?

I pressed it once. It took me to the future. I am there now, in my castle.

I pressed it twiceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh.

Which back button? On the menu bar? Backspace? Alt-Left?

Internet Explorer? Firefox? Something else?

When it 'doesn't take you to forum', what does it do? Nothing? Take you somewhere else?

I understand this is not uncommon with IE8 (and IE9). It is nothing to do with this particular site or any changes to it, as far as I can tell.

I never use it.

Main forum page in one tab.
Middle click on all the threads I want to read to open them in background tabs.
Read (possibly reply) and close those tabs.
Back to the main forum tab, refresh and repeat*

(*occasionally pausing briefly to do some actual work 🙂 ).

I have a little back button just above the touchpad on my laptop, use it all the time.

On singletrackworld this sometimes causes a download box to pop up, think it may be related to one of the adverts as it's intermittent, or an Opera thing, or both.

IE8, the "go back a page" botton top left of the screen! I press it and stay in a thread instead of going back to the list of threads on a forum . . . .

But that's all boring compared to the "back" buttons some people on here have! I want one that takes me back to my "first time" . . . I'm sure I could do better this time round 😮

Why no button for the forum section you are in at the bottom of the thread? Annoying.
