We were meant to be going on an mtb holiday mid August but can't now due to injury so we are looking for an alternative. Preferably abroad, maybe a walking holiday in the mountains Ie Austria or Italian lakes or perhaps by the coast but with a hotel that has a gym so we can keep some semblance of fitness. What ideas have you got for me folks?

Another alternative is to get a Crystal Summer late deal somewhere and then buy local maps and guide books just before you go, to plan day trips etc.
