Seriously. It be like magic.

Just a bit of image analysis. With a good enough image (like hi def), well illuminated, and a bit of software, fairly easy. (I guess they look for marks on the ball, and how much they move from one frame to the next, then a bit of maths.)
But it is pretty impressive, as it does it almost instantaneously.
