Diana Nyad arranges to meet her doubters, as her team says a stretch of the Florida Straits swim when her speed doubled was down to favourable currents.

If she had done this in the 80's before all the sophisticated telemetry and tracking stuff was around would people be accusing her of cheating.

Is there any feat of endurance that doesnt get caught up in these type of accusations.

Surely they would have adjusted the speed of the boat to make it look more believable if they were cheating?

Perhaps someone else should swim it to show that she couldn't have swum it that quick. 🙄

I hope she did manage it,cheaters only cheat themselves . 😉

BTW..Does anyone know how those long distance swimmers sleep if they are not allowed to touch the support boat?
