As there were so many people involved in the Apollo missions and the USSR would have been watching everything the Yanks did at that time do you not think that something would have leaked out by now if all these missions were faked?

I'm pretty sure the Soviets would have been jumping up & down about how it was all faked at the time, if only to demoralise America.

And what about the live experiments still going on today from equipment delivered to the moon during the Apollo missions? e.g. mirrors placed on the surface we fire lasers off to measure with extreme accuracy the distance of the moon from the Earth and hence it's rate of decay from Earth's orbit?

I'm sure if it was a fake the Russians would have sent up a probe to the moon to photograph the supposed landing sites to photograph empty fields and once and for all disprove the claims. That would be a huge political coup.

To be fair faking the moon landings as an idea has more credibility than the 9/11 conspiracy theories. Still obvious guff though just more of a rational idea.

I was doing a bit of watching of some flat earth stuff last week, and weirdly they are often dismissive of other conspiracy theories, and get wound up a bit if you lump them in with other bonkersness.

You know what though - the Vietnam documentary series- America was in a right old mess through the end of the 60s and yet there was NASA developing a proper good rocket and sending some draft-dodgers up into space... it is quite hard to fathom.

Most FE'ers believe that all of space is fake. Or at least very different from how the [i]sheeple[/i] describe it. For them the moon is actually very close and small, inside "the dome". And naturally NASA are part of the satanic Freemason plot to cover up the truth, so yeah all the moon landing stuff and modern stuff like the satellites and the international space station are completely fake.

I am sure there is a Mitchell and Webb sketch somewhere where they compared the cost of the moon mission with the cost of faking the moon mission. Firing a rocket into the sky and then not landing etc. I think they worked out the only difference was the cost of the catering.

..or maybe they have just seen all of the programmes on The Discovery Channel to reaffirm what they believe ..have debated the points to death previously but have come to the conclusion that they are not going to change anyone's mind and it's a waste of time trying to do so ?
