I’ve been a bit smug during lockdown as I taught myself how to cut my own hair a few years ago because of a skin condition where it itches really badly when it gets longer. So I’ve had a nice and neat no2 short back and sides with longer no7 on the top to a standard where people don’t believe I’ve done it myself!!
Love the “baldness is a blessing in disguise” comments, yeah keep telling yourself that Mr Chrome Dome. 😉😉😉😂😂
I got mine cut at the beginning of January before my honeymoon, and haven’t had it cut again yet. I’ll make it to the full year but will get it tidied up soon after.
Have got fairly good at biccing my head without missng too many bits at the back, the beard's been 'full lumberjack' a few times but that's one thing I will only entrust to a professional.
Bicced my head this morning and then rode into town to get lunch.. that was ... fresh.
Meh, I remember having enough hair to cut. Now my head and face gets a scrape with the cordless wahl trimmers when I start looking homeless.
My last haircut was in October 2019, I eventually was made to go and get a trim this October by my wife and mum like a 47-year-old baby!
I cut my hair once. No 2 all over.
Think it was 2013 after a particularly bad trip to the hairdressers.
it's now halfway down my back, just the way I like it. Bit grey in places but when I wear a hat I look like Carl McCoy, though my daughter thinks I'm more Andrew Eldritch circa floodland....
My kids shaved my head in the garden around May kinda time. Need another now but I don't want a cold head so I'll probably just leave my mop until next May.
I had one between lockdowns - bought clippers but failed badly trying to do it myself (I didn't get as far as producing comical results - more my brain just couldn't cope with cutting the top with scissors in the mirror). I was almost at the just use clippers all over stage when lockdown ended. Needs doing again now but will go to the barbers next week for that - unfortunately though my usual one has shut down, apparently even a couple of months after the first lockdown his trade was well under half of what it usually was so he couldn't keep up with rates 🙁 Mix of people now just doing their own cuts and lack of trade from local business park and manufacturing places as a lot of people there are either WFH or furloughed/laid off.
I think I had had one official haircut in the "pre-COVID" times, then a couple at home from my girlfriend. I'm now actively ignoring going out for one and need to buy new scissors because we blunted the other ones trimming the dogs' fur.
Yes, I look like Worzel Gummidge on the work meetings.
Used to have mine long a good 20 years ago, I'd been pondering growing it again, then Covid hit and pretty much sealed the deal. Currently about shoulder length! I bet loads more people will have long hair after this, hiding inside means you can skip the awkward teenager looking stage without anyone seeing.
