Maybe you think it's weird but i came across some of the human dissection videos on youtube by Gunther von Hagens and found it really interesting to see everything in the flesh so as to speak which led me on to his plastination techniques and exhibitions.I'd love to visit one but none in the UK at the moment.Whose been to one and what did you think?

Went a few years back in London. Viewed it as art rather than science. Amazing.

Saw it years ago, properly interesting.
Some bits went a bit far for me but not offensive

Would love to go.
That and the Black Museum at Scotland Yard.

Went to see it in Manchester and loved it, especially the gorilla

Protip: Whilst it may look remarkably similar to bacon at times, it tastes bloody awful.

Think I saw it in the 90's, well I definitely did, the 90's part I was uncertain about, but it must have been then.

Ramsay Bolton would love it.

Edit: I remember it having an impact.

Went to one in the UK some 15 or so years ago. It was superb, very graphic but presented in detached sort of way. Sort of like a 3D anatomy text-book. Definitely go, if you find an exhibit.

Very interesting and worth a visit. If I remember there were different areas and some of the more challenging exhibits were optional and well explained before you see them.

We went to it in Berlin about 6 years ago. Most of it was really good, but some of it seemed a bit "look how odd I am".

The slices of a fat and a thin person were really good, the giraffe climbing a palm tree and trying to fly less good.

I guess I preferred the more anatomical ones to the at ones.

El Mrserino was pregnant with El Babyerino 1 at the time. I thought that the prenatal part might've weirded her out, but we found it fascinating. They have unborn babies of every month (except for the month she was) and a massive jump on size between them.

If you like this, the surgeons museum in Edinburgh is well with a visit.

We went during a trip to New York in 2013 it was pretty amazing. Here is one of the pictures, There were some pretty amazing things sliced into wafer thin slices then displayed like hearts and lungs etc right up to full bodies.
Worth every penny.
This is an actual horse that was on display, If i recall correctly we were`t allowed to take pictures but sneaked this one in.

Saw the exhibition about a decade ago, thought it was thoroughly fascinating. The horse above and also the basketball player who'd been "opened up" were amazing. And the human body that had been put through the meat slicer and was spread out over 20 odd cases that you could walk between like a real life MRI image. such a lot to get your brain around but as mentioned above, not gruesome or done in a shock value kind of way. if you get the chance then go see it

It is excellent. Took the kids. Seeing humans didn't phase them, seeing the animals was a little harder. We avoided the pregnancy at the time.

You might also like the Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons. It's a little old skool by comparison ๐Ÿ˜‰
