[#1043621]

Hi there,
A guy who has just come to work with me has been living in Spain and has
brought his Spanish registered/L/H drive car with him.
He has been told he needs to register the vehicle here and he needs a Certificate of Conformity.
The problem is there seems to be some confusion over where he can get the Certificate from, can anybody shed any light on this problem or point him in the right direction regarding relevant websites etc.
thanks Matt.

look here

I didn't think you'd need one though as it's from the EU

I got one from the manufacturer. In fact in my case it was Citroen, and predictably enough it was a right faff to get it from France, but Citroen UK just put it straight in the post.

Good luck.

The manufacturer will provide a certificate, based on the chasis number/VIN.

You will need to change the headlights, speedo and possibly add a fog light to the rear ( if there aren't already fog lights on both sides of the vehicle ).

He´ll also need to cancel the registation in Spain. I bought a Left-hand-drive once with an English reg. Drove it to Spain, got stopped by the police who then impounded it as the computer still had it registered in Spain! I think the car, which cost me 200 quid is still in the pound!
