Just bought the the New Album - Wonky
Crikey what a comeback Album? Its blown me a way, a return to form, great production, hooks & melodies!
Buy it!
How's it compare to the Brown album?
i actually think the Brown Album is awesome especially Lush, Impact & Halcyon......I don't think they will beat that Album but Wonky is very close!
Bleep bleep bleep beep beep bleeeep beep bleeeep bleep sample beep bleep
Yeah, would take some going to top those, seen Orbital more times than I care to remember.
Will check it out, cheers...
I'm getting fb updates from a mate at the gig in London tonight Daz. She says they are rocking the funky house or some such urban language.
If she can send updates on a touch phone, she's doing it all wrong ๐
Orbirtal live! first saw them Leicester Uni 1994 on snivilisation tour they rock
S'all mind control nowadays. They have special tablets for it.
they have loads of iPads apparently
Been at the front at Orbital gigs many times. Bunch of us seeing them in Amsterdam this Fri. Wasn't especially looking forward to it...until i heard the new album. Rave on!
There's an app for that?
First time I saw them was at the Rocket on Holloway Road, with Psychick Warriors ov Gaia (UK debut). Think Banco de Gaia were on the bill too, been a long time though!
edit : Or the Drum Club, or Speedy J....
Saw them in Leeds on Friday - top stuff.

Yep, '92 or '93 at a guess.
Megadog were doing the side room, cracking night out!
First saw them at manchester megadog in 93, and was back there again 19 years later last thursday. Still absolute quality, wasnt too sure on the title track but it blew the place apart live ๐
Daddy, what does regret mean?
Son, the funny thing about regret is....
Didn't realise they were still going strong. How does the new album compare to Middle of Nowhere?
Middle of nowhere was a bit Pants to be honest.....no,pun inteneded, Wonky is flipping mental gets betterbtoo
Only musical genius can make a banger sampling Belinda Carlisle.
Orbital rule.
I saw them in Manchester last Thursday, by far the best gig i've ever been too, unreal (what I can remember ๐ )

Didn't work as well with Bon Jovi though! ๐
First time I saw Orbital was at a Deptford festival in 1993 - We went to see Back to the Planet & Senser, but Banco de Gaia, Drum Club, Orbital and a few others were in the dance tent.

I was also at the Orbital gig at Leicester Uni in 94. The stage was on scafolding in the midle of the dance floor if I remember correctly. Uni days are a bit of a blur. Any way a few tracks off Wonky:-
Unless I'm mistaken, I think Orbital are playing Melbourne in May and based on the posts above I'll be buying a ticket shortly (if any available). Loved them circa the Brown album so I wonder if the audience will be made up of other 30-somethings.
Anjs, that's right mate yes it was a blur....
Crikey.......40' something's I think, some more dates added....02 academy Leicester 4 December tickets on sale friday
Saw them at Glastonbury in 1994 - utterly brilliant. Trying to decide if seeing them again, substance free, would be the same.
O2 Priority have tickets on sale at the mo.
