I am in a property that has a duel rate electricity meter, not sure why as think the property has had gas central eating for the last 20 years, due to the age of the boiler removed.

So the question is, with gas central heating, is my electric costing me more than it should do for the lights etc. with this type of meter? Or is it a robbing Peter to pay Paul situation.

On usage, there is more in the evening as would expect, but wife is home 2/3 days a week with the kids.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Overnight washing and drying will burn enough electricity to warrant the extra cost. Summer washing can take place up until 8am. Fridge and freezer will also help with the units used.

Sandwich, surly the over night is cheaper, I find all of the Power Supply world Double Dutch, as I think most do! It seems to be there to scare you in to not switching/asking.
