Garryglitter - you really are asking the wrong person on such matters.
loddrik - MemberI probably am a sexist bigot but I'm happy with that. Just for the record, I don't hate women I just find them incredibly irritating. My wife knows this and just blanks it.
From yesterdays thread.
Married - For how much longer?
how about taking the mick out of the disabled as well?
What ? Like you calling Hodgson 'Woy' for the last 4 months because of his speech impediment ?
๐ก
Not at all offensive that was it ?
๐
What did juan say about IQ again?
Not at all offensive that was it ?
Nope. No more so than calling Jonathon Ross 'Wossy'. Which he seems ok with. And I hadn't considered Woy had a speech impediment actually, as he's perfectly understandable. I'd consider it more a characteristic of the way he talks, than an 'impediment'. It's certainly not a disability.
But you knew that anyway... ๐
So you'd happily take the mick out of someone that you didn't know, face to face, because they had that speech impediment ?
Ha Ha Ha Trail monkey lovely point se also use of bacon face
Tbf homophobia is rife on this forum but for some reason it is more tolerated
you keep saying this but it gets challenged whenever I have seen it on a thread.
Eithe rway how exactly would that make sexism or racism OK?
Lets just hope his replacement is a woman, preferably one with big knockers...... Please
Wouldn't a sexy voice be more betterer?
thanks bloodynora for that tea/screen interface
So you'd happily take the mick out of someone that you didn't know, face to face, because they had that speech impediment ?
Not if they genuinely had a 'speech impediment', no. As I've pointed out; 'Woy' doesn't have a speech impediment. No more so than an Aussie or Geordie or a Glaswegian does...
Or if he genuinely does, rather than it simply being a characterstic of the way he speaks, then maybe I'm evil and shall burn in hell for all eternity...
Oh, and the 'Woy' thing has been around for some time, and din't seem to bother Mr Hodgson. Seems you're getting outraged on his behalf... ๐

That's a peculiar interpretation...
My point is that there seems to be a holier than thou attitude by many forum members with regards sexist comments/attitude, yet homophobia, of which there is much exhibited on this forum, seems to be more acceptable. Why would that be...?
Are gay/lesbian people less tolerated or 'fair game'?
Glad to see the back of him. He's a moron. Quite how he has enjoyed such longevity in his career as a pundit defies belief. One several compelling reasons not to become a Sky subscriber.
No doubt he'll earn a coin now as an un-PC martyr on the same sportsman's dinner circuit as the likes of Jim Davidson. Column in the Daily Express, slot on TalkRadio - he'll survive.
Btw, any woman with huge breasts would do just fine. Couldn't care less about the voice, as long as it wasn't cockney, welsh or Geordie please.
I'm in a benevolent mood so I'm going to take that shovel off of Elf before he digs himself any deeper.
Gis it 'ere, ta.

It's a great description of loddrik, well done!
Does someone want to pop down there and explain misogyny to loddrick?
I thought the low IQ quote was irony sorry
I do not see homophobia as rife or tolerated on here and it is challenged in all the threads I have ever seen a comment - indeed i have recieved it for suggesting Elton John was not a suitable father figure due to age and previous history. Some peole took this as proof that I was covering up for my real homophobia.
See also woofterbal thread where I and others have a go at someone for the us eof this derogatory term.
To what threads are you referring? I am suggesting your interpretation is incorrect and just a smoke screen you use to defend your own offensive [ trolls I know] derogatory comments.
Even if it[homophobia being tolerated] was true how would it make what you say ok?
I'm in a benevolent mood so I'm going to take that shovel off of Elf before he digs himself any deeper.
Round dangly things. I had no need for the shovel in the first place mate. 'Woy' is an affectionate nickname. Like 'Wossy', as I've already pointed out. Using it isn't, as you've tried (and failed) to prove, 'taking the mick out of the disabled/people with disabilities'.
Back under your stone...
While we're on the subject. I did go and watch a womens football match once, it was ok, best bit was at the end though when they swapped shirts ๐ Get my coat now or later?

Just where is this so called homophobia, stuff thats really nasty, and a blatant slaging of them, i seem to remember, ther eis only one gay lad on here and i dont ever remember him compalining, it must be a self rightous straight thing then.
As for football, who cares, its just a working class thing, a reason to fight, drink and wear shirts with mens names on isnt it. ๐
'Woy' is an affectionate nickname.
Yeah, we all felt the love for him on those threads.. ๐
look, you've been pwnd so just take it and move on. no one can think any worse of you.
Just seems a little strange how one type of 'ism' is more acceptable than another. Given the level of sanctimony they should all be equally abhorrent.
For the record, I don't hate women, I dont feel threatened by women, or who are senior or who earn more (and let's be honest, there are a huge amount of men who are) and I don't tell mother in law jokes. I just don't have any women friends or want any. I also don't have any friends from 'ethnic minorities', I guess this probably makes me racist under the stw pc code.
But I certainly don't think women should be officiating premier league matches.
But I certainly don't think women should be officiating premier league matches.
Why not?
how many people need to ask for examples of it being an ok ism befor eyou either shut up or put up ...basically prove your claim that it is accpeted on here or stop repeating it as it is not true.
Why do you think female refs are just not up to the task of being as rubbish as the male ones then?Scared they will outperform us ?Which is it?
PS I am sure women everywhere are gutted at loosing the chance to have you as a friend
Does this mean loose women is finished too?
Sorry but I don't have time to trawl hundreds of threads to find examples. Plus its more an undercurrent rather than 'I hate gays'
As to why women shouldn't be officiating.. Why stop at officiating, why not let them play alongside men in the same team..?
It was a comment made off air - it might not make him a particularly great bloke but everyone is entitled to a personal opinion stated in private. I've also seen the comment made to Charlotte Jackson which appeared to be nothing more than childish and she ignored them.
The Sky thought police are stepping in again!!
I hate these pathetic knee jerk reactions to appease a few liberal minded whiners.
On a side note I phoned Sky to cancel my Sports subscription as I happen to think Andy Gray is a good presenter regardless of his personal opinions and hate the way Sky try to dictate how people should think. They discounted the package by half and logged my complaint.
It would seem they have been bombarded by cancellation requests. The Scottish woman on the phone was great - real salt of the earth football fan who was totally perplexed by the sacking. She was laughing about how she's said much worse about her male colleagues in the past lol.
Lets make sure they never get the vote!
Or equal pay

No. That's a great idea, let's see arsenal, Chelsea and the scum with a few women in the starting eleven. Sounds great! ๐

Does it only exist in your mind or view of the forum.
if a male linesman makes an error is it because he made an error or because he's a man?
if a female......
you don't get it do you lodders? if only you lived in another century you'd be chucking another prawn on the barbie.....
No. That's a great idea, let's see arsenal, Chelsea and the scum with a few women in the starting eleven. Sounds great!
Why not, if they are good enough? The bin-dippers could benefit from a wider pool of talent too?
yes why not? What is your problem here?If they are good enought to play or officicate then let them ..stop repeating this and explain why they should not do this?
i will take your inability to [s]prove the claim[/s] trawl the forum for what it is
No, I definitely dont get it. But that's just me I guess.
I don't think women understand the rules less or would be more prone to mistakes, I just don't think they should be officiating in the first place.
Junkyard, you can take anything to be whatever it is, do you think it really makes a difference...
It was a comment made off air - it might not make him a particularly great bloke but everyone is entitled to a personal opinion stated in private.
no it was made whilst he was miked up and audiable to everyone in the studio and editing room
if you said that in front of a load of people at your work theyd be entitled to report you to HR if like andy you already had prior complaints against you
(and you were suing the parent organisation for hacking your phone
and your boss was trying to look really good as he was trying to cement his monopoly on uk media)
i think your days would be numbered too
There is a very large number of intolerent people on this forum.
Surely intolerance works both ways. Funny that....
I keep hearing that this 'incident' was caught on an off-air microphone.
Does this mean that it was never actually aired, but picked up by someone 'on the inside' & bought to everyone's attention via that route, rather than being blared out of TV speakers across the nation?
If it was the former, then I do think it's a bit of an ott reaction to something that should never have made it into the public domain in the first place. And how do these things get into the public domain? Is someone constantly listening waiting for a slip-up?
I just don't think they should be officiating in the first place.
Now that IS odd. You might be able to understand it, but we don't like ladies here...
or would be more prone to mistakes
I assume therefore that you would have a problem with a female surgeon too. Afterall that is a "high pressure" situation and maybe their pretty little brains wouldn't be able to cope.
But I certainly don't think women should be officiating premier league matches.
Why?
I hate these pathetic knee jerk reactions to appease a few liberal minded whiners.
Liberally thinking would suggest being open to consider all directions and make judgement accordingly, being narrow minded would imply poorly-based miopic viewpoints based on stupid thought. I'd suggest the liberal minded people "whining" have the sensible high ground here.
