Do I go out and ride tonight or take advantage of having the house to myself to watch the last 3 episodes?
I thought the whole thing was excellent. If only they'd made the rest of Star Wars in that way.

Wouldn't really be star wars then would it!!

Another great series. I don't usually stay for the credits on Disney but the various classic Star Wars themes played as the credits rolled were brilliant.ย
I now pledge not to rewatch Rogue One until I've seen series three, whenever that happens.
EDIT, apparently there won't be a third season so maybe I'll go watch it.
Well I binged the last 4 episodes tonight.ย
I think Andor might be my favourite Star Wars series, in no small part due to the fact that they didn't try to wring 3 series out of the whole thing.ย
Delivers you nicely to the beginning of Rogue one, adds some extra tragedy/pathos to Andor's back story. Makes some salient points about authoritarianism, works the war time espionage thriller angle and all without the need for those bloody space Wizards...ย
Any tips for I'll advised spin-offs? I reckon a Post Empire Derdra mini-series might be interesting, she'd have to die at the end of course...ย

I was sure I'd read there would be a third series before Rogue One but obviously not. Brilliantly written and shot, grown up series.
Bit surprised by the walking through the field scene at the end. Wasn't expecting that.ย
It was originally planned as a 5 series arc, each series taking in one year -I think condensing each year into 3 episodes worked really well & made for a super tight story line.
They were also apparently going to introduce the K series droids in a one off episode with them tearing through a rebel ship. I think the way they ended up doing it was perfect.
Finished Andor, straight into Rogue One and then onto New Hope.
Good seeing Andor's further development... killing an allies, just like Luthen did.
Not so good it's de-valued everyone favourite baddie.
Darth Vader feels like blunt instrument, no more than a bully boy.
(it probably was ever thus, its just we've grown up and the thought of a fascist state is the real horror now)

Felt bad for dedre, she deserved a more dramatic end but yeah, star wars for (almost) grown ups. First few episodes were weak but really torqued up the tension over the last 4 or 5. Zehr gut.

In a sort of why don't they just shoot James Bond kind of way.....why would you bother with stormtroopers, who are evidently completely and utterly, shit. Wheln you could have a load of them?
Storm troopers are cheap.

Interesting, I thought it was perfect. The realisation that she'd screwed up, been screwed over and was a nothing in the eyes of the Empire

Yep. The face-eating leopard claims another victim.

Yeah but it maybe warranted a bit more screen timeย
I reckon then nailed it. Krennic ripping her a new one (complete with finger on head goodness, one of the most icon scenes in the show and we first hear "death star" iirc) in the interrogation room, after the hospital, after the great scene in the shop with Luthen. Then the last scene of her locked up in a situation that everyone that's watched season 1 understands
I liked the way characters' hair styles changed in the last couple of episodes so they appeared as they do in Rogue 1.
