I went out in the car this morning and the snow got very deep and I ended up helping people move cars etc as quite a few people were stuck.
I noticed an ipod touch sticking out of some lovely crisp snow about a foot deep so I picked it up and asked everyone if they had lost one and nobody had.
I brought it home and got it started to work out who the owner could be. My investigations led to the following in order (at which point to do you go ewww):
1. some anatomical close up photo's
2. got email started and they get a daily bible message whatever that is but it sums up the religous people I know
3. Facebook messages from a lot of people many of whom I know
4. I logged on to the internet and it went straight in to Facebook (I do not know how to use ios and ended up in history whilst looking for a name
5. Found many visits to swinging sites
6. Found many more visits to animal porn sites including dogs and zooological porn
7. email address for owner
So what would you do?
Return it to the owner.
Give your wife the ipod back? 🙂

Have a good look at all those sites on someone else's device so it can't be traced back to you?

As long as there is no illegal stuff on there then it would be a case of call the law as invariably there is a victim in the illegal stuff (and yes if the owner is doing animals that is illegal still in the UK).
Return it. Simple, there is a lot of swingers or folk with 'odd' tastes in orientation and activities. takes all sorts, just dont offer to share a room or lend them your car keys......

I used to get this a lot at my last job on nights. Some of the office girls would forget to close their computers down before going home, and some of my unscrupulous colleagues would trawl through their emails for gossip. Inexcusable. Having failed to convince my fellow workers how low their actions were, I gave up trying and went round making sure every computer was shutdown.

Go to settings and see if find my iPod is activated. If it is then they'll be able to lock it down and send you a message. If not I'd just hold on to it for a bit...

There's always that option, it must be said. While a good Christian would say, 'thou shalt not steal', a good Christian wouldn't be shagging anything that breathes, either.
As I'm not a Christian, the temptation to wipe it and keep it would override the notion to return it to someone of such obviously dubious moral character.

Fair point but it came from being unfamiliar with ios (it is really dated as a side note). I thought it was dead at first so connected it to my pc as that was my only method of charging. That brought the photo's up.
I then really struggled to find a link to settings in the email. Anyway I now know how to see the name on an incoming email so I know who it is now. I will reunite them tomorrow. 😆
I've found three phones, on each occasion I've gone through the numbers untill I've found "maison" or "maman" and then phoned to tell them where I've handed it in (or arranged to meet when they were on the same piste). Next time I'll know what to do before trying to track down the owner - you're a voyeur not a prude.
