Sam Neill. He has ruined every film he has been in.

Eddie Redmayne. Very slappable face.

+1 for Eddie Redmayne, the new Johnny Depp (not a compliment)

A stopped clock is right twice a day. For the remaining 1438 minutes it's absolutely useless

Ron Perlman.

Everything he does is overacted tripe, along with his attempts at being a Producer that just fail.

Ricky Gervais.

Ray Winstone.

More guffaw on this than any recent thread.

My hate is Tom cruise after losing 2 hours of my life when my wife dragged me to see Interview With A Vampire.

And ruining the Reacher movies by casting himself, a 5ft4 dwarf as a 6ft6 thug.

Not proper actors but the whole group of them can get in the sea: anybody who consciously films themselves "reacting" to something, usually another video recording or TV show. **** the **** off!

Says the person who’s username is all in caps…

How many films have you seen him in?

Idris ‘would eat his own sh1t if he thought it was cool’ Elba

When I first saw Idris on screen, I had no idea who he was, and I was certain he was an American. Same went for Dominic West. That was in ‘The Wire’, the first time around, before it got repeated and everyone suddenly woke up and started raving about it. It wasn’t until then that I discovered that those two, and several other actors weren’t American after all. Dominic has got a beautiful house not far from where I live, and I’m very jealous!

It's a fantastic performance. He's such a well-known actor, known for basically playing himself but I think most of us didn't even recognise him in the trailer at least, and he's a very entertaining character in it, the conversations between him and Charlie Hunnam were the highlight of the film for me.

It's not that I can't stand Idris, but I haven't enjoyed his performances in anything since The Wire.

And he does seem a bit self-regarding.

Hugh Grant is having something of a second career - it's much better than the first one. I'd consider referring to him as Hugh Grant the First and Hugh Grant the Second, for the purpose of this thread Hugh Grant the First definitely stays, but Hugh Grant the Second belongs on the other 'actors...' thread.

Same here. One of my favourite bits in The Wire was when McNulty was trying to put on an Australian accent - a British actor doing a really good job at playing an American doing a really terrible job at playing an Australian.

On a similar basis but the other way around... Bruce Willis the Second.

I got so bloody sick of the Sky Movies ad "Did you knaa, Sky has an awesome VIP.. etc" that I thought I'd never want to see his smug mug in anything again. Then I watched The Suicide Squad and The Harder They Fall... and he was great 😀

the correct answer is Jim I can pull a funny face Carrey.

It is indeed. Plus an honourable mention for Tom Hanks, who only ever plays Tom Hanks (the total opposite of Cate Blanchett, who just becomes her character)

Glad to see my least favourite actor hasn't been mentioned thus far.

I give you Robert Downey Jr.

Remember him doing the chat show rounds after doing jail time.
J.Ross asked him about his wife/partner and how supportive she'd been.
His reply was something about how great she was and would you like a sniff of my fingers to prove it!

What a tool.
