I had a 6 year old sony LCD TV that had developed dark shadows in a couple of small areas of the screen, not terrible but noticable and not what I'd have expected after a few years.
Sony UK replaced it today, without a murmur with a brand new LED TV worth approximately 3/4's the cost of my original.
I thought that was excellent customer service and worth a mention for anyone thinking of getting a new TV.
